Giving Back

It's a privilege to live in Hong Kong, and community one of the reasons we believe makes it such a rewarding place to call home. But not everyone in Hong Kong has the economic or financial opportunities that others have.

That's why we believe it's important to give back as and where we can. We're involved in a number of organisations and initiatives that help to make Hong Kong more equitable and accessible. Without your support, this couldn't be possible.

Women in Business

I’ve been actively involved with the BritCham Women in Business Committee since 2022, helping to champion the advancement of women in their professional careers. The committee is a vibrant network focused on mentorship, skill development, advocacy, and creating opportunities for women to connect and grow.

As Co-Vice Chair, I play a hands-on role in planning events, securing sponsorships, vetting new members, and running committee meetings. I also support the broader Chamber through initiatives like the DEI Symposium, helping to drive conversations around inclusion and representation.

It’s a space where diverse perspectives are celebrated, and where we work together to empower women, challenge norms, and build a more inclusive business community in Hong Kong.

Inspiring Girls

I’m proud to support Inspiring Girls Hong Kong, a charity focused on empowering young women—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds—by connecting them with diverse female role models and challenging gender stereotypes.

As a volunteer and specialist advisor to the board, I’ve helped shape strategy and support key initiatives, including planning the charity’s first gala. I’m also closely involved with the EmpowerHer Future program, which delivers career and financial literacy to girls aged 14–16, a critical age that influences 80% of life’s outcomes.

Through immersive workshops, practical experiences, and inspiring mentorship, we help girls build confidence, understand money, and explore ambitious career paths—giving them a fairer, stronger start in life.

Habitat for humanity

Habitat has been improving housing conditions and strengthening communities in Hong Kong since 2004, while also supporting home-building efforts overseas. Their mission is to bring people together to give a hand-up to those in need, fostering resilience and self-reliance.

I serve on the Finance Committee, where I help oversee budgeting, strategic planning, and governance. I also support Women Build, Habitat’s global campaign empowering women, children, and disadvantaged communities through hands-on renovation and construction projects.

Each March, we collaborate with local NGOs to mark International Women’s Day with a special renovation initiative—bringing practical support and visibility to women and children across Hong Kong.

The Women's Foundation

I’m proud to support The Women’s Foundation through several impactful initiatives aimed at advancing gender equality in Hong Kong.

As part of the Allies Circle, I work alongside a group of changemakers committed to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for women and girls. Our collective efforts help power TWF’s fundraising, advocacy, and educational programs—building a legacy of fairness for future generations.

I also contribute to the Mentoring Programme for Women Leaders, which focuses on developing inclusive leadership and increasing the number of women in decision-making roles across sectors. Through this, I help foster DE&I skills, holistic growth, and a strong network of gender equality advocates.

Additionally, I support the Women to Watch Platform, which aims to spotlight and empower women for board and executive roles—helping to shift representation at the highest levels of leadership.

St. James's Place

Charitable Foundation

The SJP Foundation is committed to building an ecosystem of gender equality advocates and supporting small to medium-sized charities that make a meaningful impact in their communities. Its grant-giving focuses on children and young people with special needs, those facing illness or disadvantage, and more recently, individuals affected by cancer and mental health challenges.

As a committee member, I help identify and recommend charities that align with our mission—such as the Matilda Foundation and Inspiring Girls Hong Kong. I’m passionate about ensuring that funding reaches organisations where it can make the biggest difference.

Later this year, I’ll be taking on a personal challenge: an iconic swim across Hong Kong Harbour to raise HKD 100,000 for the Foundation. It’s a way to combine purpose with action and spotlight the incredible work these charities do every day
