Decluttering your finances: do they spark joy?

Writer: Eleanor ColemanEleanor Coleman

Perhaps I'm just a product of the English school system but September, to me, marks the start of a new era. The seasons are changing, it's time for a new pencil case and a fresh sheet of paper.

But how can you take the concept of decluttering, starting anew and apply it to your finances?

I spoke to Carolyn Wright on RTHK's Money Talk about this precise process. From the number of bank accounts you have, to where your retirement funds are scattered, and owning multiple insurance policies that do the same thing.

It's about looking at what you've got, where it is, and what can be streamlined or automated. Bills, for example, can be automated to reduce the physical and mental clutter you experience in your life.

Listen in below to hear my advice for people who are perhaps nervous about exposing all your financial clutter, and how you can move forwards with clarity.
